Chinchuba In this Mandeville subdivision, Dutel built 22 homes in a wilderness with the goal of saving the woodsy atmosphere of the 8.5-acre tract of land. Before beginning construction, Dutel catalogued all the land's trees and plants with a landscape architect; the homes were built around nature, instead of nature being forced to conform to the plans.  The single and double homes of Chinchuba were designed in the traditions of old-style Southern architecture, featuring raised first levels, wood floors, and metal roofs. Elements like vinyl siding and double-paned insulated windows were chosen for ease of owner maintenance and energy efficiency.
